We are NOT Global Marine/Insulting Public Comments

     I am so upset that my hands are shaking but I must publicly respond to the above. Ms. Julie Lasota took liberties to state publicly on FaceBook that Love City Car Ferries, Inc left people stranded to go and work for Little St. James. Please read her post above....where she said you left...while working for a known "$#!&%". I am sure she has, by now, taken it down since I called her and told her that I am outraged and that I demand a public apology.
     Let me clearly state that we have not done work for Little St. James, neither now nor in recent times. This is not to say we won't ever work for Little St. James; but at the moment, Global Marine works for Little St. James, NOT Love City Car Ferries, Inc. Further WE DO NOT EVER leave customers and go on charters. If our vessel is not on the docks it is simply because we may have a mechanical issue. We have a policy of not working for anyone during the day because we have a Virgin Islands Port Authority approved schedule that we must keep and also because we have a public to serve.
   I want to make it clear that Love City Car Ferries, Inc and more specifically the M/V Capt Vic continues to work tirelessly for the people of the Virgin Islands. It pains my heart when individuals who are clearly ignorant of the facts would state things in a public setting without first calling us to find out what is going on. 
   Careless comments such as these affect our brand and ultimately affect our bottom line. How does the public expect to have car ferry companies that are actually sustainable when they continue to assault us publicly? We don't get any help from the government and we constantly get insults from the public. It is tiring.
     Global Marine and Love City Car Ferries, Inc are 2 separate companies with separate vessels. Before anyone posts anything again about Love City Car Ferries, Inc please find out the facts first. I am going to have an immediate conversation with my attorneys about Ms. Lasota's post. I shall not take these type of insensitive attacks lightly.
