FAQ

How long is the ride?
The ride is 20-30 minutes, depending on the weather, etc.  During this time, you'll enjoy the short cruise, the cool trade winds and the beautiful panoramic views of Pillsbury Sound, the waterway that separates St. Thomas and St. John, are hypnotic.
Do we need to make a reservation?
No, however, individuals with reservations have guaranteed spots.
What happens if I catch the wrong vessel?
There is more than one car ferry company operating in the US Virgin Islands. All of the companies use the same docks. If you bought a reservation with us, and mistakenly catch another company's ferry, they will not honor your reservation. We are the only company operating more than one vessel, M/V Capt Vic and the M/V Grand Vic. Please be sure to look at the name on the vessel you are boarding, which appears on the side of the vessel. The individuals on the dock can not make you board a vessel that is not of your choosing. Here are photos of our vessels so that you can become familiar with them before your arrival.
Do we need to stay in the car?
No, you may exit your vehicle and walk around on the main deck or travel to the second deck and enjoy refreshments in our lounge.
Is there a separate charge for passengers?
No, the cost includes passengers. You only pay for your vehicle. Just drive on board and drive off, no loading and off loading of suitcases, no hustling kids in lines as you board, etc.

Does Love City Car Ferries, Inc. operate all of the Virgin Islands car ferries?
