September is National Preparedness Month

"September is recognized as National Preparedness Month (NPM) which serves as a reminder that we all must take action to prepare, now and throughout the year, for the types of emergencies that could affect us where we live, work, and also where we visit." https://www.ready.gov/september
In case of a weather related emergency, Love City Car Ferries, Inc. will take the following steps to alert you of changes in schedules as dictated by the VI Government, The Virgin Islands Port Authority and or the United States Coast Guard. Since we do not control the opening and closing of the ports, our course of action is highly dependent on these governmental bodies. Nevertheless, once it is determined whether or not the ports are open, the following is means by which our schedule changes will be  communicated to the general public:
  1. Email sent to our general customer list - to join our list visit our Vic Sea Miles Club page and enter your information. The individuals on this list will be the first to know of schedule changes.
  2. Post to our Facebook Page - Be sure to visit us there and ℓᎥƘƎ our page.
  3. Post to Twitter @VICarFerry
The above is the standard way we communicate in times of emergency. Radio stations and other media are already on our email list so they receive the information in step number one. Please keep in mind that during times of emergency, our offices are usually closed so you may not get anyone by phone. So please pay attention to your radio, and various social media platforms as described above.

Stay safe and remember to pray for the best but prepare for the worst. God Bless!
