Happy Father's Day from your friends at Love City Car Ferries, Inc.
What do you call your father? For many, it's just plain old Daddy. Daddy didn't say much but he still made sure to impart various life lessons. Here are five things my Daddy taught me: 1. I can be, do, and have almost anything as long as I was willing to work hard for it because hard work always pays off, 2. Always tell the truth, 3. Put aside something for a rainy day, 4. Stay out of debt, 5. Be patient through the difficult times. He may not have said those specific words, many of which are well known. But the various experiences imparted theselessons. For example, lesson #5, be patient through difficult times was made apparent when I was 18 years old suffering with my wisdom teeth. I called Daddy and told him that I was going to have it pulled. All of my college friends were pulling theirs. He told me the root of that tooth runs very deep and that's why it's so painful. He suggested that rather than pulling it, just be patient through this difficult process. I didn't pull it and I was just fine. It seems like he was always telling me to be patient, especially when I complained about something. What lessons have you learned from your Daddy? Share with us. Give your Dad a hug or a call today. God bless all of Dad's of the world.
